FDA CITE: 21CFR1020.30 (1) All x-ray equipment (ii) says the following:

A schedule of the maintenance necessary to keep the equipment in compliance with this section and 1020.31, 1020.32, and 1020.33.

Section 1020.30 (h) (ii) PM Schedule for all x-ray equipment and Calibration 1020.30 (g) (ii) says a schedule of the maintenance is necessary to keep the equipment in compliance.1

020.30 (Subpart L) (b) The person installing the device shall ensure that, inspection, and any required testing are performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and procedures. Service provider shall document the inspection and any test results to demonstrate proper installation. Manufactures advise that all x-ray equipment must be evaluated and tested interval between maintenance checks is 12 months.
